Turbo Garrett GT 25

Un turbo GT 25 de Garrett à monter sur un HDJ 80 : quelqu'un connait ?

Ce serait en fait un corps de CT 26 avec le coeur du GT 25, donc avec butée & palliers sur roulement à billes.

maybe gt25 is small. BTW, you have to study how to make an metal adaptor between in and out collectors of original pipings and gt25 design. it asks some times but i think is not too difficult. but gt25 must be mechanically controlled, non electronic controlled.

Thanks for your answer.
Actually, the turbocharger I've just bought (but not yet received) is made of the GT25 main inner components, installed inside a normal CT26 casing.
Therefore, as far as I understood, there is no need to adapt collectors, pipes, and so on. Anyway, I hope so. The turbo is expected here within 1 or 2 weeks.

Do you have an idea of the efficiency of such GT25 on a 1HD-T ?

(PS : Why are we speaking in english ?)

i'm writing in english because french is more difficult for me. but if you want write in french i will use google translator
i have no idea about garrett on 12V hdj80 but i'm sure he needs a lot of air

Hello everybody,

Do you think that the thickness of our Turbo body is really adapted to receive the internal parts of the Garret ?

If it is bigger than original component, it can augment the fragility of the turbo, no ?

I don't know yet. I hope to receive my new turbo within 1 or 2 weeks.
Wait and see.

But I wonder if someone already install it on his HDJ80.
I didn't find such info on the net...
